Juhannus 2014 – Lavatanssit

dancing at Finnish American Society of the Delaware Valley

Elina and Aimo dancing

Members of FASDV, PSK, and friends had a great time celebrating Juhannus (mid-summer) at Peace Valley Park. The accordionist Ed Hendela played traditional Finnish dance music and set the mood. The grill master, Adam Peritz cooked up hamburgers and hot dogs and there was plenty of Finnish treats available at the table: pulla included (thank you Aimo Tuomi!). The children had fun playing “pass the sponge,” water balloons and other games while (some) of the adultsĀ  danced “humppa, valssi.” Thank you all for coming and for contributing to a fun and successful event — talkoo voimin!
