Iltamat for Finland’s 100 Years of Independence

December 9, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$20.00 – $25.00

As we celebrate Finland’s milestone birthday this year, we have invited Ameriikan Poijat, a popular 7-member brass band from Minneapolis, MN to perform in Iltamat at the American Swedish Historical Museum in Philadelphia on Saturday, December 9 at 7pm and entertain us with familiar Finnish songs, dance tunes and concert pieces. Since the event is also a fundraiser for FASDV, we hope to get a full house, so bring your family and friends along! Our traditional Pikkujoulu, Pre-Christmas party, will precede the concert at 4pm with Joulupukki and Joulumuori bringing holiday cheer to all.

Antti Vänskä, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Finland will be the guest of honor, and champagne and wine reception will follow the concert!

  • Tickets for this FASDV fundraising event are $20 if purchased online ($25 at the door)
  • Pikkujoulu tickets are at the usual price of $15 (please bring a holiday dish to share; FASDV will provide ham and fixings)
  • Pikkujoulu plus concert is only $30 pp — kids under 15 free
