Accordionist Brent Buswell in Concert

Cokesbury Village retirement community in Hockessin, DE, will host the popular virtuoso accordionist Brent Buswell in a free concert on November 11 at 7:30pm. Since the concert date is also Veterans’ Day, Brent, a regular guest performer at Finnish festivals all around the US, will also play some patriotic music, accompanied by his pianist wife, Crista.

Brent Buswell, accordion
Brent has played the accordion since 1993. He enjoys playing a wide variety of music, including jazz, polkas, Scandinavian, marches, novelty numbers as well as Christian and American standards. He especially enjoys playing the music of great accordion composers such as Pietro Frosini, Charles Magnante and Pietro Deiro.
Brent has performed at many events and national Finnish festivals throughout the USA. He has been a guest performer with other orchestras and on television. He was designated the Finlandia Foundation Performer of the Year in 2008.
Brent graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2003, with a Bachelor’s degree in professional music. During his time at Berklee, he studied the piano, which has become his second instrument.
Brent will be accompanied for some tunes by his wife, Crista who plays the piano. Crista began playing the piano at the age of three. Since then, music has been a large part of her life. She has an associate’s degree in liberal Arts from Penn State.
