October 2013 Suomi-koulu

This year our theme is Finnish traditions and our students began by learning about folk costumes. We learned about the origins of the costumes and looked at some samples as well as discovered their place on the map. The children got to create their own miniature versions using a variety of materials and we ended up with some very intricate designs!

Students were introduced to Finnish folk costumes.
