(4 1/2 hours drive from Philadelphia  or 3 ½ drive from Piscataway\, NJ–  then driving to Lapland Lakes XC center the next day 35 minutes north on route 30 past Northville\, NY. \nSuper 8 Motel – 5502 Route 30 South\, I-90 Exit 27\, Amsterdam\, NY 12010 Tel 518-843-5888 All rooms are 1 king size bed or 2 double beds\, non-smoking. They feature free wireless high-speed Internet access\, cable TV\, hairdryer\, iron\, ironing board\, free local calls\, and alarm clock. Free parking. FREE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. Check in 3pm- check out 11am.  Cost per room for 2 nights.  Double occupancy is $161.50 plus tax. . Order anything off the menu up to $9.00. \nLapland Lakes XC Center: Follow route 30 all the way up  Plan on a 45 minute drive north. We’ll form a caravan and head north from the parking lot of the Olympic Diner. – Turn left  onto Rt 30 – follow route 30 north 18 miles to Northville\, NY (see a bridge over Sacandaga lake) continue North on route 30 to Benson – Turn left onto Co. HWY 6 – go 5.2 miles – Turn right onto Storer Rd.3/4 mile bearing right Ski rentals are $20/day. Check website for rates & snow conditions.  Adults: $23 – Seniors: $20 \nSnowshoe Rentals: Provided by Lapland Lakes for a daily fee. \nXC Ski lessons:   A 1 hour lesson will be given at 10:30am on Saturday with a guided tour in the afternoon at 1:30 pm. . \nSaturday Lunch: on your own – bring your own food or enjoy the Finnish specialties at Lapland Lakes restaurant. \nApres ski Saturday: Gather at Lanzi’s on the Lake at 4:pm On route 30 about 5 miles on the left from Lapland Lakes Mayfield\, NY \nShopping:  Adirondack Country Store in Northville\, NY – go across the bridge  – make a left at the light  – open Sat/Sun 10-5 – best bargains for natural made handicrafts\, furniture\, souvenirs\, Adirondack furniture\, etc. \nSaturday Dinner: 7:30pm at the Raindancer Restaurant – tel 518-842-2606. On route 30 about 3 miles north of town on the left.  Cash bar – Order any dinner entrée $26.00 or under – Choice of Seafood en Casserole\, Ravioli Alfredo\, Chicken Penne ala Vodka\, Chicken Marsala\, Spring Chicken\, Salmon\, or Chicken\, Sausage\, & Brocolli. Huge salad and bread bar. Coffee or tea included. No dessert. \nSunday Breakfast:  8:30am at Super * motel – Return to Lapland Lake to XC Ski on your own. Trail fee not included. If you want to stay over Sunday night\, make the reservation at the Super 8 Motel. We will have an early 5pm dinner at Lanzi’s right after departing Lapland.
